Coronavirus latest: Dacorum records over 120 new cases today

Dacorum and Hertfordshire are in Tier 4

As of today (December 24), Dacorum has recorded 127 new positive Covid-19 cases.

The total for the borough is now 3,247, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

There have been 1,264 new cases in Hertfordshire, the total is now 30,009.

There have been two new deaths recorded in Dacorum, the total is 123, and there have been 14 new deaths in Hertfordshire, the total is now 1,094 - according to Public Health England.

Nationally, the number of coronavirus cases has risen by 39,036 and now stands at 2,188,587.

The latest R number is estimated at 1.1 to 1.3 with a daily infection growth rate range of +1% to +6% as of December 24.

The number of deaths has risen by 574 to 69,625.

The figures for the number of patients recovered from Covid-19 have not been released by Public Health England.

The new figures were recorded between 5pm on Tuesday, December 22, and 5pm on Wednesday, December 23.
