Coronavirus latest: Dacorum records 11 new confirmed cases

There have been 11 new positive Covid-19 tests in Dacorum in the last 24 hours, the total for the borough is now 741, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

There were 56 new cases in Hertfordshire, the total is now 6,062

There was one new death of patients testing positive for Covid-19 in Hertfordshire, but no new deaths in Dacorum. The total number of deaths since the start of the pandemic of people who had a positive test result for COVID-19 and died within 28 days of the first positive test in Dacorum remains at 94, in Hertfordshire it remains at 859 deaths.

There have been 467,146 lab-confirmed cases in the UK, rising by 6,968.

The number of COVID-19 associated UK deaths has been recorded as 42,268, rising by 66, - according to Public Health England.

Nationally, the death toll has been 'recalculated' by officials. The new count is based on a new definition of who has died from Covid-19.

Previously, people in England who died at any stage following a positive test, regardless of the cause of their death, were counted in the figures.

However, there is now a cut off point of 28 days from the first laboratory-confirmed positive COVID test.

The figures for the number of patients recovered from Covid-19 have not been released by Public Health England.

The new figures were recorded between 5pm on Wednesday, September 30, and Thursday, October 1.
