Students at Kings Langley School celebrate excellent A-level results

Students at Kings Langley School have achieved some outstanding A-level results, despite recent months being such an incredibly challenging and unsettling time.
Notable successes include Lauren Tout who achieved A* A, A grades in Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Chemistry and is going to read Natural Sciences at Cambridge University.

Hide AdAmy Whiting who gained A*, A* A grades in Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Physics and is going to read Mathematics at Nottingham University.


Rachel Shaw achieved A*, A*, A, A grades in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Music and Extended Project and is going to read Mathematics at Southampton University.
Jessica Chadwick gained A*, A* A grades in Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Physics and is going to read Physics and Mathematics at Warwick University.
David Fisher, headteacher, said: "Our Sixth Form students have worked incredibly hard and nearly all of our students have already had their university places confirmed.

With the coronavirus pandemic preventing students from sitting exams this year, the results are based on teacher assessment grades which have been standardised.
Now students in England awaiting their exam results can keep their grades in mock exams if they are higher than the calculated grade, with regulator Ofqual asked to determine how and when valid mock results can be used.
