Kings Langley School secures ‘advanced practice’ in the nationally recognised Emotional Mental Wellbeing in Schools Mark Award!

This award reflects the embedded evidence-based wellbeing practices in place across all areas of school life, ensuring that emotional and mental health is prioritised just as highly as academic progress. This creates a culture that empowers students to build resilience, develop positive relationships, and seek support when they need it.
Ultimately, this achievement strengthens the foundations for happier, healthier learners and helps every student unlock their potential for life.
The awarding body stated
“Kings Langley has a strong and committed team of pastoral staff who dedicate time to various aspects of how children can be supported. The Family Support Worker, Mental Health Lead and School Counsellor are tireless in their endeavours to seek support for students and work continuously to drive the mental health offer forward. An unusual yet critical element of this team is without doubt Librarian Jane Hill, who has a unique opportunity to build relationships with some of the more vulnerable students. Walking around Kings Langley School feels calm, well managed and positive, and students are chatty and well mannered. The 6th Form building is a relaxed space filled with signposting to mental health support services.
This fantastic accomplishment demonstrates a deep, sustained commitment to creating a school environment where every student feels safe”.
