On Sunday, 6pm EliteX and Team17, two Hertfordshire local coaching teams linked up to do a charity event alongside EliteX sponsors (Van Glove and Vertex Sports).
They shared their grassroots/professional footballing journey through overcoming adversity, mental health struggles such as injuries, self doubt, depression, anxiety and overcoming the feeling after.
This event was led by 19 year old Sam Carman, owner of EliteX. Within the event held at Hobletts Manor School, Hemel Hempstead, EliteX and Team17 raised £705 for anxious Minds charity and the event held 105 in attendance.
The mental health charity event was formed by 19 year old Sam Carman, an ex Hemel Town player, owner of EliteX training (a coaching service for young kids to help create their best version). Alongside, partnered up James Ousten, goalkeeper coach at Berkhamstead FC, Connor Kurran Brown, ex Bournemouth professional, owner of Team17, an upcoming coaching team and lastly, Gary Benson, owner of VertexSportsOfficial. Adding to that, special guest, Makise Evans, Colchester professional footballer and Luca Owner of Van Glove.
