One of Hemel Hempstead’s much-loved gastropubs, The Green Man, is to unveil a brand-new look when it reopens tomorrow (Wednesday, April 14).

A £360,000 investment has seen this local favourite in Leverstock Green, transformed both inside and out during lockdown.

The spacious outdoor area offers plenty of room for socially-distanced catch-ups.

Stephen Merison, general manager of The Green Man, said: “After such a tough year for everyone, we are proud to be one of the very first pubs to reopen and give locals a prime place in which to catch up, socialise and be served!

"The team are raring to go and ready to welcome customers old and new into the pub!

"Our beer garden looks amazing and is going to be the best safe space in the local area for all things alfresco. And once allowed, our interior spaces will provide a cosy space in which to enjoy sport of every kind.”

Customers can choose from plenty of hearty pub classics, as well as plenty of vegetarian and vegan specials.

Experiencing cask ales in a pub is certainly a forgotten favourite and one of many options on the drinks menu - which also includes wines, premium spirits and an array of gins.

Customers are also in for a treat when they're allowed to step indoors. Brand new TV screens and a refreshed bar will see The Green Man become a sports hub when socialising rules are further relaxed.
