Hemel Hempstead physiotherapist opens Wellness Hub in Berkhamsted

A physiotherapist from Hemel Hempstead has opened a new Wellness Hub in Berkhamsted.

During lockdown, Emma James noticed the declining mental health and wellbeing of her friends, clients and family - the loneliness of lockdown really opened her eyes to the need for a community driven and based Wellness Hub in the heart of Berkhamsted.

She wanted to create a space where her fellow constituents could come and see their wellness and wellbeing needs met; this has manifested itself in her new site on Lower Kings Road.

Emma, owner of Emma James Physiotherapy, made parts of her physiotherapy clinic virtual in March after the government introduced the social distancing guidelines to help stop the spread of the coronavirus.

She said: "We are very excited to bring “The Wellness Hub” to Berkhamsted, we are changing the concepts and belief systems around how we deliver health and wellness.

"We want people to engage in their wellness journey and especially during times like this, we become acutely aware of how fragile our health is.

"Our aim is to creature a culture of care and to create a community where health and wellness can flourish."

The Wellness Hub offer a myriad of wellness treatments and physiotherapy and massage facilities, as well as more traditional forms of muscular skeletal treatments.

As well as more traditional physiotherapy massage, the hub will offer other more holistic forms of treatment in the form of acupuncture, as well as introducing a holistic massage therapist who will be in house every Friday from August and a new, wellness based, retail section.

Emma James Collection will also run PT sessions, virtual gym classes, virtual physiotherapy appointments, in-person physiotherapy appointments, gait scanning, Mummy MOTs, PelviPower Treatments and many other treatments.
