During what’s been a difficult year for many and to coincide with National Superhero Day, The Entertainer’s nationwide competition launched back in April, with the quest to find mini heroes who have gone above and beyond during lockdown.

The competition was a great success, seeing a total of 250 children win vouchers to spend in their local The Entertainer store.

However, it was Hemel based brothers Klaes and Ruiss who managed to secure the golden prize by winning a VIP meet and greet with the superhero sensation - Batman. Klaes was nominated as a covid superhero for his actions during the lockdowns.

On Friday, May 28, both brothers headed down to The Entertainer store at The Marlowes for a special VIP shopping experience with Batman – seeing the unsung heroes ecstatic to meet the famous character face to face!

Alongside meeting Batman, Klaes and Ruiss also made sure to make the most of their VIP shopping experience, seeing the boys grin from cheek to cheek with excitement to pick out their favourite toys from within store.

Craig Lowe, events coordinator at The Entertainer, said: “It was fantastic to welcome Batman to our Hemel Hempstead store to reward lockdown heroes Klaes and big brother Ruiss!

"We haven’t been able to welcome characters to our stores for over a year so it was great to be able to welcome Batman and see the joy on the children’s faces again at meeting their hero!

"We are very much looking forward to being able to welcome our characters back to our stores again as soon as we’re able to.”
