Berkhamsted hair salon announced as finalists in eight categories for local industry awards

A hair salon in Berkhamsted has been announced as a finalist in eight categories in this year's Salon Awards.

Alchemy & I, located on the High Street, has been shortlisted in six salon-wide categories and two members of the team have secured a finalist spot in two categories in the Salon Awards, which showcase the professionalism of the hairdressing industry on a local level.

Amy Penhallow has been shortlisted for Stylist of the Year and Sophie Hinton is a finalist for Future Talent Award.

Amy impressed the judges with her passion for hairdressing, demonstrating dedication for evolving her artistry while providing the best experience for clients.

Sophie, one of the salon's apprentices, was recognised for her eagerness to learn all that she can while providing toning and styling services to an incredibly high standard.

The salon, spearheaded by founder and CEO Haylee Benton, has been nominated in the Best Salon and Best Customer Experience categories due to its ongoing innovation, success, and reviews.

The salon puts the customer experience first and is dedicated to meeting client needs while providing a unique atmosphere that combines community and relaxation - it even has an app for clients to order a range of cocktails, drinks and food, straight to their seat.

The team's bespoke colour work has secured them recognition in the Best Colour Salon category. Salon Director Sean, who boasts a L'Oreal Colour Degree, has invested time into supporting the ongoing development of all the salon's stylists.

After refurbishing in January 2020 to expand their capacity, Alchemy & I's interior design has been celebrated in the Best New or Refurbished Salon category, while the Best Salon Team accolade recognises the dedication, passion and enthusiasm every member of Alchemy has for their artistry.

The salon has also been shortlisted in the Marketing Trailblazer category.

Alchemy & I will discover if it has achieved the top spots at a virtual awards evening on December 12.
