Neverland Light Trail opens this week

Peter Pan-inspired experience launches at Kenwood House on Hampstead Heath on November 21.
A major new festive attraction opens this week within easy reach of Hemel Hempstead and wider Hertfordshire, as Kenwood House on Hampstead Heath prepares to launch Neverland at Kenwood, an immersive Peter Pan-inspired outdoor light trail running from November 21 to January 3.
The trail transforms the historic North London estate into a night-time journey inspired by JM Barrie’s classic story, combining large-scale installations, lighting design and an atmospheric soundtrack. Visitors begin in London’s skyline before heading into a reimagined Neverland populated with familiar story elements.
Announced installations include illuminated jellyfish over two metres high in Mermaid’s Lagoon, a four-metre skull towering above Skull Rock, five tipi-style shelters on Lost Boys’ Island, a six-metre crocodile and floating illuminated books. A life-size puppet of Nana the dog will also appear along the route.

Food and drink will form part of the experience, with seasonal dishes such as Christmas roast pizza, bacon-wrapped hot dogs, Yorkshire pudding wraps and loaded roast potatoes, alongside hot chocolate and spiced winter drinks.
The trail is being held in support of Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity, reflecting JM Barrie’s decision in 1929 to gift the Peter Pan copyright to the hospital. One pound from each ticket sold will be donated to help fund medical research, equipment and family support initiatives.
Located around 30–45 minutes from parts of Hertfordshire, including Hemel Hempstead, St Albans, Watford, Berkhamsted and Harpenden, organisers anticipate strong interest from families seeking a seasonal experience close to home.
