The event on Friday, June 21, starts at 7pm with trio Malcolm Edmonstone (piano), Jules Jackson (bass) and James Nall (drums) in the spotlight.

Malcolm Edmonstone was given his first break while still a student when he was asked to tour with the late singing legend Marion Montgomery, and when he was only 21 he became Jacqui Dankworth’s musical director and went on to tour the world with her.

He also played piano on the first three series of Strictly Come Dancing and enjoys combining his busy performing career with teaching as a professor at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

Together with Jules and James he will be performing some well-known jazz standards – anything and everything from Vince Mendoza to Herbie Hancock.

Tickets are £12 or £5 for U18s and full time students – email [email protected] or phone 01582 840333.
