Michelle Cordara, a mother of twin two-year-old boys, wanted to write a story that featured twins and their special relationship, but also highlighted the fact that children who are a twin can still be unique and can still be themselves.
The book has been described as a captivating adventure that is perfect for Halloween centering on a spooky school the Salem Witch Trials.
Michelle, who is an identical twin, said: "It is my first book, I have always been creative, when I was younger I loved drawing and painting.
"As I got older I wanted a creative hobby that I could do at home that didn't cost much to do, so I started writing.

"I first started this book about ten years ago, I was actually inspired by Roald Dahl's The Witches.
"Growing up, the headmaster/headmistress was always quite a frightening figure, that was the one person that you really did not want to get in trouble with. I included that kind of character in the book.
"I also really enjoyed learning about Salem Witch Trials - which really did happen - which is also in the book."
The 36-year-old has already started work on the next book in the series and plans to write more books, but with different themes.
The Tipple Twins and the Gift is available in paperback (£6.99) and ebook (£3.99) at a variety of book shops and online retailers.
