Watford Ladies made it back to back home wins after beating Oxford United Women 3-2 at Berkhamsted on Sunday.

They came from two goals down to win the battle of the basement sides. The victory sees Watford draw level on points with Oxford and Millwall Lionesses in WSLII.

Ella Franklin-Fraiture lobbed Oxford in front and a clinic finish from Ini Umotong put the visitors in control early on. However, Anne-Laure Davy scored her first goal for the Golden Girls just before the interval to reduce the arrears.

Watford turned on the style in the second half and just three minutes in Giulia Ferrandi sprung the offside trap to run through and level.

Watford snatched what proved to be the winner before the hour when Davy headed home.

They saw out the rest of the game in some comfort in front of 309 spectators. Next up are Aston Villa Ladies at home on Sunday, kick off at Broadwater is at 2pm.

The FA WSL will switch to being a winter league from 2017. There will be a one-off Spring Series competition to bridge the gap between the seasons.
