Youngsters are stars of the Christmas stage
Youngsters in reception, Year 1 and 2 at Belswains Primary School in Hemel performed sell-out performances of Born In A Barn, produced by Karen Yilmaz, Paula Bailey and Elizabeth Smart.
A traditional nativity was performed by nursery and reception children from St Mary’s CE Primary School in Northchurch, with shepherds and dancing angels gathering to welcome baby Jesus.

Hide AdAnother traditional tale was put on by Bovingdon Primary Academy’s foundation stage and Key Stage 1 children. Teacher Jenna Derbyshire said: “The pupils worked incredibly hard to put on an outstanding production of ‘The Nativity’ – a big well done!”
Children from Westbrook Hay Prep School in Hemel visited Sherwood Forest for their Christmas production of ‘Robin and the Sherwood Hoodies’ – a tale of ‘tights, fights and footlights’.
Mary and Joseph were alive and well at Grove Road Primary School in Tring when nursery and reception pupils performed their take on the traditional Christmas story.
Berkhamsted’s Sacred Heart Church was the venue for this year’s St Thomas More School production of the nativity story, performed by children from Year 3 to 6. The day after, they spread the Christmas cheer in town outside Marks & Spencer with a carol concert.

Hide AdPupils from Year 4 took centre stage in St Cuthbert Mayne School’s annual nativity, with Year 3 youngsters in supporting role at the Hemel Hempstead school.
Families of children at Chambersbury Primary School in Hemel Hempstead were warned to bring tissues for the play, ‘A Miracle In Town’. Pupils and staff re-told the story of the first Christmas, creating a magical version of the nativity to be remembered for years to come.
Little Gaddesden Primary School’s production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat had a ‘triumphant’ performance last week. Nerys Steeds, who produced and directed the production, said: “I am so proud of all the children for their hard work and commitment.”
