A woman has been rushed to hospital after falling more than 10 feet from scaffolding this afternoon (Monday, August 15).

Paramedics were called to Barnacres Road in Hemel Hempstead at 1.47pm after the woman, believed to be in her 40s, fell between 10 and 15ft from scaffolding.

A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said she has suffered a head injury but it is not thought to be life-threatening.

Herts Air Ambulance was called and landed nearby, but stood down before the woman was taken to Watford General Hospital by land ambulance for further treatment.
