Two arrests amid sexual assault investigation

At around 2.50pm today, (Monday, February 29) police went to an address in Pudding Lane, Gadebridge, to carry out an arrest in relation to the alleged assault.

When officers entered the property, a person was attempting to harm themselves.

They were detained and an ambulance was called as a precaution.

Armed officers attended in order to ensure the safety of the person, the officers and the public.

Two men – one aged 24 –from Hemel Hempstead have been arrested in connection with the alleged assault.

A spokesman for Herts Police said: “Detectives from the Sexual Offences Investigation Team are investigating an allegation of a serious sexual assault that occurred in Hemel Hempstead.

“We are still working to establish the exact circumstances surrounding what happened and so cannot provide any further information at this stage.”
