A teenage boy has been bailed after a mountain bike, worth up to £350, was stolen from a home and then found the same day.

Between midnight on June 25 and 7.30am the following day, the Carrea Vulcan bike was stolen from the side of a home in Sheepcote Road, Hemel Hempstead.

The bike was subsequently found by officers following a call from a member of the public who reported suspicious activity in Stephenson Wharf, Apsley, on June 26.

It resulted in a police search of a home in Hemel Hempstead.

A 16-year-old boy from Hemel Hempstead, arrested on suspicion of theft, has been bailed until August 11.
