Power tools stolen after van break-in

A man broke into two vans and stole power tools from one, sparking a police appeal for information.

At 12.01am on Tuesday, May 10, a man broke into a silver Citroen Berlingo van which was parked in Hazelbury Avenue, Abbots Langley.

A witness saw the suspect get out of a silver/grey Ford Focus before getting into the passenger side of the van.

He searched inside before leaving in the Ford Focus. There was also a second man in the car, but nothing was taken from inside the van.

The crime reference number is C2/16/1244.

Between 11pm and midnight on Monday, May 9, offender(s) broke into a white Citroen Berlingo van in Bridge Road, Kings Langley, by smashing a passenger window.

Mikkita power tools and hand tools were taken, and the crime reference number is C2/16/1247.

PCSO Colin Williams said: “I am appealing for anyone who saw the silver/grey Ford Focus in the Abbots Langley or Kings Langley area around the times stated to get in touch.

“I am also keen to speak to anyone who may have recently been offered Mikkita tools for sale.”
