New special constables begin work across Herts
Eleven new special constable recruits were formally welcomed to Herts Police at a graduation ceremony last week (April 27).
Over the past nine weeks, the recruits have spent their weekends learning the role of a special. Some have already begun their first shifts. Their training will continue for another 12 months until they are passed out as substantive special constables.
