Armed police arrest teenage boy, 17, on weapon and drugs charges in Hemel Hempstead estate

A 17-year-old boy was arrested and charged with carrying a knife and cannabis after an incident at a Hemel Hempstead estate.

At around 10.20pm on Tuesday, January 7, police received reports of a possible stabbing in Chaulden House Gardens.

Specialist officers from the Beds, Cambs and Herts Armed Policing Unit rushed to the scene, alongside local units and found a man in possession of a knife.

The man was detained and the knife was seized.

Extensive enquiries were carried out but no victim was located and no further reports have been received to date. Investigations are ongoing at this time.

> A 17-year-old boy from Hemel Hempstead has been charged with possession of a bladed article in a public place and possession of a controlled class B drug (cannabis).

He has been bailed to appear before court on Wednesday, January 29.
