55 new homes and a play area are set to be built in Kings Langley

Dacorum Borough Council has given the green light for home builder Miller Homes’ Kings Gate development - of 55 new homes - on Rectory Farm in Kings Langley.

Following outline consent, which was given in June 2019, the reserved matters consent was approved by Dacorum Borough Council in March this year.

The approved plans will see Miller Homes build 55 one, two, three, four and five-bedroom homes, including 19 affordable homes, on the site which covers more than 1.4 hectares – it will also include a play area.

The development is Miller Homes’ first in Hertfordshire.

"We are pleased the proposals have been given the go ahead.

"We’ve worked closely with the local council, residents and key stakeholders to ensure the development is in keeping with the village and will provide amazing homes for families in the area.”

The homebuilder plans to start construction on the site this summer with the first homes set to be complete in early 2022.

Miller Homes has been building homes in the UK for more than 85 years and recently retained its five star-rating for customer satisfaction in the National New Home Customer Satisfaction Survey by the Home Builders Federation, and received the WhatHouse? Award for Best Development in 2020.
