Coast to Coast, which joined the Dacorum restaurant scene back in January, has been well received by locals who are enjoying its big menus and big eats.

The American Bar and Grill opened its 13th UK restaurant at the redeveloped Jarman Park Fields earlier this year, hot on the heels of neighbours Chiquito.

While some eating out fans may have dreaded the sight of another chain in the town, Coast to Coast has proved extremely popular and delivered much needed variety to the Hemel night life.

The layout is fantastic, with a variety of tables and large leather-seat circular booths with an American theme. There is always a real buzz about the place with the sizeable bar area boasting several big screens showing live sport.

But that doesn’t detract from the experience if you are simply there to eat, it only adds to it. This is by no means fine dining... Coast to Coast does what it says on the tin and it does it well. Big dishes, big on flavour and full stomachs.

The menu is vast and full of variety from pulled pork sandwiches to burgers, pizzas, wraps, steaks and ribs. There’s a wide variety of cool sides too with things like sea salt pretzels, homemade coleslaw and sweet potato fries.

The star of the show undoubtedly, though, is the BBQ Board which is a feast all on its own featuring blue cheese chicken tenders, hand cut ribs, Boston prawns, BBQ chicken wings and chorizo.

Whether just having pre-night out drink at the bar or dining out there’s loads of cocktails to choose from and an impressive drinks menu.

Coast to Coast may not be a household name but that is no bad thing and certainly no reason not to give it a try because the food is right out of the top drawer.

With Nandos, Chiquito, Subway and McDonalds all next door competition is fierce but Coast to Coast offers an overall package that the others will struggle to truly compete with.
