Louisa Alice-Rose's new single 'You Are Not Alone', inspired by lockdown - was released on Friday, November 27, and went straight to the top spot.
The 26-year-old collaborated with composer Lyndon Samuel on the song, and they recorded the song on November 4 - the day before the country entered the second lockdown.
Students from Tring and Welwyn, can also be heard performing on the classical song.
Hitting the top spot on iTunes Classical Chart was a dream for Louisa, who runs LAR Performing Arts school where the children attend.
Soprano Louisa said: "I have been singing since I was a child and I performed in the West End when I was six and I have always been into musical theatre singing.
"I was inspired by the challenges everyone has faced during lockdown, separated from our family, friends and loved ones.
"The song is about surviving these difficult times and looking out for other people.
"It was a massive surprise when it went to number 1.
"We recorded the song the day before lockdown, we managed to record it and film it in 24 hours, it was great fun and and it's great how well it has been received."
Felicity Barnet, Laura Hardy, Alinah Juleve Dagpin, Theodore Loades, Kaleb Munday, Mia Rutherford and Leah Rutherford not only sing on the track, but also appear in the video, which was filmed in Tring Park - www.youtube.com/watch?v=S3sSdrE1dP0.
