The Marlowes launches Hemel Hempstead’s first community focused podcast
Marlowes Talk is out now
The Marlowes shopping centre has launched ‘Marlowes Talk’ – a podcast focussing on real life stories within the Hemel Hempstead community.
Marlowes Talk, which launches today (June 14) aims to provide a voice for the local Hemel community, with journalist Sophie Sulehria on hand talking to businesses, charities, key stakeholders within the area and the local community.
The first episode explores the fantastic work carried out by DENS and sees Sophie gain exclusive access to DENS’ headquarters to talk to the chief executive of the charity Wendy Lewington - gaining insider knowledge alongside taking a tour to find out about a range of their fantastic services.
Listeners can expect to find out further information about DENS, such as their foodbank services, The Bike Project, Start-up Pack and the charity’s new ‘Go Yellow for DENS Week’ taking place next week (June 21, to June 27).
Future editions of the Marlowes Talk podcast will dig deep into local real-life stories straight from the community, with real-life answers which many will be able to relate to. Listen to the podcast on iTunes here.
Lavinia Douglass, marketing manager at The Marlowes, said: “We’re delighted to announce we’ve launched our very own podcast – Marlowes Talk.
"Our new podcast aims to drill down into the local Hemel Community, talking to key stakeholders, local people and businesses that continue to remain at the heart of this fantastic community.
"The last 18 months have proved difficult for us all and now’s the time to really shine the light on Hemel and delve into stories first-hand.
“We’re so excited for the Hemel community to listen to our first episode with DENS and we’re now looking forward to releasing new episodes on a monthly basis.
"The first podcast also provides further information about DENS for those who might need to access the wide range of services provided by the charity.”
