Much like its consoles’ platform poster character Sackboy, Playstation bosses have got the world in the palm of their hand at the moment.

But far from resting on the laurels of booming sales, Playstation is promising to “take the world by storm” with an “incredible, quality” games line-up in the next few months.

The PS4 has dominated next gen sales since its launch last November, trouncing rival Xbox One.

But instead of sitting back and basking in the glory, they’re pushing ahead, promising a stellar line-up of blockbusters now that its (half) shiny (half matt finish) new console sits proudly in millions of homes.

In an impressive line-up promotion booklet detailing the next year’s worth of top titles, Playstation told fans the first eight months of the PS4 “is just the beginning.”

“PS4 will continue to take the world by storm,” chiefs promised.

“Players are already looking forward to an incredible software line-up, and the quality will just keep coming as we reveal more games, more exclusives, and more new features and services.

“With so much to announce through 2014 and beyond, the install base of PS4 will continue to quickly expand and the software attach ratio will accelerate at pace.”

They added: “The world’s most powerful games console has had a record breaking start. PS4 brought players the biggest games and provided the best environment to enjoy them in.”

The firm has been boasting about exclusive upcoming hits like motor racing game Driveclub and shooter The Order: 1886.

They also highlighted new role playing game Bloodborne for early next year and platformer Little Big Planet 3 this November. It comes as the latest figures show 7million PS4s were shifted earlier this year.
