Sinatra, Sequins and Swing (The Capitol Years Live!) sees one of the best big band jazz orchestras team up with two of the UK’s most talented vintage-style vocalists.

The show focuses on Sinatra’s golden years at Capital Records, celebrating Hollywood’s glamour and well loved songs, most notably arranged by superstar arrangers Nelson Riddle and Billy May.

The show also recreates famous scenes from Sinatra’s film and television appearances during that time, including the One For My Baby bar scene; the Lady Is A Tramp nightclub scene from the film Pal Joey; and You’re Sensational from the High Society film with Grace Kelly.

Audiences can also look forward to Monroe’s classic Diamonds Are A Girl’s Best Friend from Gentlemen Prefer Blondes and plenty of fun in between.

The vocal stars of the show are Kevin Fitzsimmons, who is the voice of Sinatra in a television advert with Hollywood star Naomi Watts, and retro pinup/singer Kitty La Roar.

Fitzsimmons also performs regularly at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club and appears at jazz festivals with his own band.

Fitzsimmons and La Roar will perform with a band led by Pete Long (known for his work with Ronnie Scott’s Big Band and Jools Holland Rhythm and Blues Orchestra).

Ken Barnes , president of the Sinatra Music Society, said of the show: “You won’t find a better evening’s entertainment anywhere.”

Sinatra, Sequins and Swing is on at the The Alban Arena at 7.30pm on Wednesday October 12.

Tickets cost £24, discounts available.
