Hospice aid artists get set for a big weekend

For one weekend only, the Town Farm Studio in Cheddington is opening its doors to the public to show off new art and present the work of nine accomplished artists.

The annual Town Farm Art Show will be held at one of the artist’s homes and there will be original paintings, basketry, porcelain, ceramics, sculpture, woodcarving, woodcraft, textiles and jewellery on display.

There is also the opportunity to meet the artists who will be there to talk about their work and the processes involved, including Christine Bass, Louise Brainwood, Susan Day, Kirsteen Holuj, Mick Randall, Anne Ratnarajah, James Sansome, Mick Waterhouse and Kate Wilkinson.

The event will be held at Christine Bass’ house at 6 Town Farm, Cheddington, and visitors are asked to park on High Street, not at Town Farm.

Christine paints contemporary landscapes and still lifes by drawing inspiration from the Buckinghamshire countryside.

Entry is free and mulled wine, Christmas cake and mince pies will be served at the event on Friday (2pm to 8pm) and Saturday and Sunday (10am-5pm).

Donations for refreshments in aid of Iain Rennie Hospice at Home.

Last year Town Farm Studio raised £350 for the same cause.
