Since September, the school has run a lunchtime dance club for students of all year groups and, with a keen group of girls full of enthusiasm, they decided to put in an entry for the competition.

The theme of the event was sport, and Tring choreographed a basketball-themed entry, depicting two teams doing battle against each other, along with the support of their cheerleading teams.

Rehearsals took place during lunchtimes and the dancers worked hard to put together a routine using different genres of music and dance.

The competition was held at Hemel Sportspace and saw entries from JFK, Kings Langley, Longdean, Cavendish and Tring, with some schools having multiple entries.

Tring entered a group piece named The Battle and a duet piece. The students did themselves and the school proud with a stunning performance, all in time and with huge smiles on their faces.

Competing against an incredibly strong set of dancers from the other schools, the Tring School dancers emerged victorious to win the overall competition.
