All-new Christmas festival comes to Hemel Hempstead

Families enjoyed a day of fun festivities including a giant snow globe, Christmas train rides, snow slope, climbing wall, go karts and a toboggan slide.

There was also a festive market and shoppers could take advantage of late-night shopping across the town centre.

Children had a special visit from Santa Claus and music from DJ Kentastic. The lights were switched on by the Snow Princesses, followed by a firework show.

Dacorum Borough Council organised the festive event with Hemel Hempstead’s Business Improvement District (BID), Riverside Shopping Centre, Marlowes Shopping Centre and Saunders Markets.

Chris Taylor, our group manager for strategic planning and integration, said: “We were proud to work in partnership with members of the Hemel Hempstead Business Improvement District (BID) to deliver this very special Christmas festival.

"The day was fantastic and brought our communities and businesses together in festive cheer for the full day of family fun and entertainment.”
