Chloe Woodruff won two golds, with Molly Bradley taking the other, while silvers went to Tilly Beckwith, Bradley, Harrison Bullock, Nathan Gething, Brianna Mazey and Woodruff.

The bronze medal winners were Callum Bullock and Woodruff who took two apiece.

Swimmers also had their first chance to work towards their 2014/15 season goals and there were some impressive improvements to personal bests.

In particular Beckwith knocked 5.4s off her 100m breaststroke, Max Gething improved his 100m freestyle by 6s, Eleanor Terrett slashed 7.3s from her 100m backstroke and Rebecca Fogarty knocked 6.7s off her 100m freestyle.

There was also tough inter-team competition, with Bullock making good progress in his 50m backstroke, 100m freestyle and 100m backstroke.

Tring Swimming Club head coach Steve Aldred said: “There was some good competition from a wide range of clubs, and it was a strong start to the season.

“I was particularly pleased to see good squad representation in some of the longer events, especially from the younger swimmers – some of who have very little competition experience”.
