Prices range from almost £500 for UKCC Level 2 in Strength and Conditioning, to the FA’s introduction to Soccercise at just £5.

While the prices vary dramatically, many are very affordable and the HSP team are delighted that more than 20 per cent of places are completely free of charge.

Now in its sixth year, the Coach Education Week programme is carefully planned to meet the needs of the volunteers, leaders and coaches involved in the 20 or so sports and hundreds of associated Hertfordshire sports clubs.

Coaching development manager for HSP, Rob Hardwick, says: “We are delighted to continue to provide the largest coach education programme of its kind in Europe.

“There is something to interest everyone involved in sport – from swimming to sports science, dodgeball to disability and fencing to first aid.

“It is increasingly important for coaches to be well qualified and up to date, and the courses at Coach Education Week really contribute to continuous professional development.”

Some courses are already fully booked and others are booking fast, but there are still plenty of places left.

The HSP team urges anyone interested in developing their skills and improving the standard of coaching in Hertfordshire to check out the programme details at www.sportinherts.org.uk.
