A smashing Vase victory sees Berkhamsted through to the last-16 of national competition
The narrow 2-1 scoreline disguises the dominance that Berko enjoyed as they secured the victory with second half goals from captain Pete Allam and Simon Royal.
Meanwhile, the unbeaten ladies’ second XI continue to have a great season after beating promotion challengers Bedford in emphatic style with a 4-0 victory. Georgie Barnett scored two of the goals.

The ladies’ first team, meanwhile, battled hard against promotion challengers Saffron Walden, but they eventually went down 1-0. They were unlucky to not get anything from the game.
Previous to their Vase heroics, the men’s firsts were also playing promotion challengers and also failed to get a positive result, losing 3-1 against West Herts. Fortunately they had the Sunday game to make amends.
Elsewhere in the club, the men’s fourth team struggled against a rather bolstered lower table Blueharts team, going down 6-0.
The men’s fifths also came out second best in a tight tussle with West Herts as they were edged out 3-2.
