Sargent bosses it in Little Hay Senior Stableford

It was a busy few days for Little Hay Golf Club this week with some excellent scores posted despite the difficult weather conditions.

Trevor Sargent, Little Hay GC senior captain, won the February Senior Stableford competition with an impressive 42 points.

In second place was John Redgwell with 39 points, and third on count-back was Peter Abbiss with 38 points.

On Friday, the Junior February Stableford Medal was won by Will Butler with an outstanding 46 points.

Craig Walker was in second place with 42 points and third was Luke Wrathall with 41 points.

Emma Shepherd scored an impressive hole-in-one on the 14th hole.

On Saturday, in very muddy conditions, Nigel Hopkinson won the Alan Irwin Shield with 41 points.

Patrick Ashton was second with 40 points on countback and club captain Mick Whelan was third, also with 40 points.

Off the course, two coffee mornings for prospective new lady members will be held at noon on Monday, March 2 and Saturday, March 7
