Sapphire gymnasts sparkle at Hertfordshire team competition

Sapphire gymnasts were on top form as the Hertfordshire Gymnastics Association held their club team competition at all levels in Stevenage.

The first competition was for level five gymnasts and the team of Phoebe Boyton, Tara Sadleir, Amy Price and Tegan Hodson-Little narrowly came first by 0.10 of a mark.

Level four came after that and the Sapphire team of Camille White, Sasha Cherry, Madeleine MacDonnell and Molly Jeffries clinched third place and the bronze medal.

At level three, Sapphire entered two teams; Sapphire One – consisting of Jessie Boad, Tilly Hedges, Charlotte Mitchell and Ondine Achampong – comfortably won this level, with the Sapphire Two team of Elizabeth de Jongh, Peri Clayton, Lauren D’Costa and Arwin Rich securing third place.

Level two also saw two Sapphire teams in action, with the Sapphire One squad of Hallie Copperwheat, Gypsy Squires, Kirsten Evans and Nemiah Munir winning gold.

Sapphire Two – Lauren Matthews, Emma Hurley and Ellie Boad – took second place to complete another excellent day for the club
