Leverstock Green Tennis Club opens its doors for a day of free fun on the courts

As part of the LTA Great British Tennis Weekend, Leverstock Green Tennis Club is offering free tennis for everyone on Saturday.

The club has something for everyone, with lots of activities for all ages – from beginners to team players.

A club spokesman said: “If you want to try something new or rekindle past skills, then come down on the Saturday and have a look around, or dust off your trainers and give it a go. We can lend rackets for any sessions and look forward to seeing you!”

The schedule for the day will be as follows:

Free one-hour fun sessions for the juniors: 9.45am to 10.45am for 4 to 7-year-olds; 10.45am to 11.45am for 8 to 11-year-olds. There is no need to book for this one, just turn up and quote the Great British Tennis Weekend for a free pass.

Cardio Tennis: 1pm to 2pm. Cardio Tennis is a fun, sociable group fitness class set on a tennis court and open to people of all ages and abilities. Supported by motivating music and qualified instructors, you’ll get to hit lots of tennis balls during your class and have a great cardio workout at the same time. Adult Coaching: 3pm to 4pm. Ideal for people new to the sport or who haven’t picked up a racket in a long time. You can borrow a racket if you don’t have your own; just go along prepared to hit a few balls and have some fun. Reserve your place at the website above.
