Hemel Town Cricket Club select their 2016 captains

Hemel Hempstead Town Cricket Club’s playing members have elected their captains for the 2016 summer season.

The only changes from last year were in the first XI where Hemish Ilangaratne stood down after five years in the post, with last year’s vice-captain Brett Penny shifting up to captain to replace him. Jack Doodson comes in as first XI vice-captain.

On the Sunday captain front, last year’s second XI skipper Rory Fraser moves up to being first XI captain, while Dave Jenkins comes in to replace him as second XI Sunday captain.

The team captains for the second, third and fourth sides remain as they were last year.

Captains: 1st XI captain - Brett Penny, vice-captain - Jack Doodson; Sunday 1st XI captain - Rory Fraser; 2nd XI captain - Graham Clark, vice-captain - Tom Elborn; Sunday 2nd XI captain - Dave Jenkins; 3rd XI captain - Anjam Khan, vice-captain - Adam Moulster; 4th XI captain - Tony Linfoot, vice-captain - Mike Samuels; Head of junior cricket (male) - Richard Grayson; Head of junior cricket (female) - Simon Smith; Club captain - Nick Hodgins.

Meanwhile, the club’s pre-season fixtures have been announced: Saturday, April 16 - 1st XI vs Tring Park (A), 2nd XI vs Tring Park (H); Saturday, April 23 - club match; Sunday, April 24 - 2nd XI vs Hawridge & Cholesbury (A); Saturday, April 30 - 1st XI vs Osterley (H) in ECB National Club Championship; Saturday, May 7 - Herts League season starts for all 4th XIs.
