Cricket Week set to be a big hit at Hemel Town CC

Hemel Hempstead Town Cricket Club are gearing up for five days of action as they embark on Cricket Week 2015.

The celebratory event takes place from Monday, August 10 to Friday, August 13 and will feature a host of matches, competitions and other entertainment. A barbecue will run every day.

The week kicks-off with a Hemel Town XI against Cardiff Metropolitan University (2pm start) on the Main Ground, whole a junior cricket competition takes place from 3pm on the Nursery Ground.

Wednesday sees a Hemel Town XI take on a Herts League XI from 2pm, with an U9 game taking place on the Nursery Ground at 3pm. There will be a special lunch from midday, with a live band performing from 7.30pm.

The following day, a Hemel XI will battle it out with Ockbrook and Borrowash from 2pm, with junior cricket on the Nursery Ground from 3pm.

The festivities finish on Friday with a Hemel Town XI taking on a Local Village XI from 2pm on the Main Ground, with junior cricket again taking place on the Nursery Ground from 3pm. An old school summer disco will then round things off from 7.30pm until late, with tickets costing £5.
