Camelot U12 player Ben Calder did what he hopes the England rugby team will be doing at the end of October – being photographed with the William Webb Ellis Cup.

Saracens season ticket holder Ben was allowed access to the World Cup trophy as the famous cup continued its tour of the country with a very brief stop off at Allianz Park.

“The cup was really impressive with the fine detail and it is amazing to have the opportunity to get so close to the actual cup that has been lifted by so many great rugby nations,” said Ben.

“I really hope that this year it can be Chris Robshaw, and who knows, in 12 or 16 years time it could be me or some of my Camelot team mates lifting the cup!”

The international Rugby World Cup Trophy Tour has seen the Webb Ellis Cup showcased to audiences around the world as part of the build-up to Rugby World Cup 2015; the showing at Saracens last week was open exclusively to season ticket holders of the Premiership Champions.

Ben plays for the Camelot U12s who this year will be moving up to playing 12-a-side matches at their Chaulden Lane home and are on the look out for more Year 7 players to join the team. Youngsters interested in joining can contact coach Dave Martin at
