A number of past captains returned to Little Hay Golf Club on Saturday to play their annual match against the current captain’s team.

A group of 16 former captains attended the event – some dating back to the club’s foundations in the 1970s.

The captain’s team narrowly edged past a very good past captains’ team on a cold and windy afternoon, with the final score being 4-3.

Meanwhile, the Ladies’ Spring Bouquet was won by Gill Howells with 40 points on count-back. Chris Marsden was second, while Chris Woodcock was third with 36 points.

On Thursday, on a bitterly cold day, the Seniors’ March Stableford was won by Frank Klimaszewski with 43 points on count-back. Patrick McInerney was second, and John Redgwell was third with 41 points.
