Hemel Storm’s Bode Adeluola was among this year’s talented players to travel with Midnight Madness to represent Great Britain in Portugal’s prestigious TAÇA Cup Championship tournament.
The Hemel basketball star was set on his way by previously playing in this summer’s Midnight Madness annual tournament where the best of British basketball talent is showcased.
After displaying his talent in the MM National Men’s Final, Adeluola earned his spot on the MM Men’s Travel Team to compete in a three-game series against Portgual’s Pro A outfit, CAB Madeira.
Displaying great athleticism and speed, Adeluola did well throughout the international tournament to prove he has what it takes to compete against one of Europe’s most talented teams.
In the last game against CAB Madeira, Adeluola treated spectators to a stand-out performance by coming through in the clutch, knocking down a three to tie the game 80-80.
Forcing the game into over time, Midnight Madness played great team basketball until the very end to put their stamp on the TAÇA Cup Championship and emerge victorious.
Adeluola said: “I had an incredible time in Portugal. That last game in particular was incredible because we played as a team throughout to overcome adversity.
“To win against a professional European team is a great achievement, and speaks volumes about the talent in British basketball.”
