Hemel Stags have secured the signing of Oli Toms from the London Broncos, as well as agreeing a new deal with club captain and long serving player BJ Swindells for the 2016 season.
Stags coach Troy Perkins said: “Oli is a local junior who started playing league at school through our champion schools programme.
“He is a talented second rower/centre and being at Broncos for the last few seasons has developed him into a quality player who will be an asset to our squad.
“I think he will have a very big season and is the kind of person I want here as he is young, keen and wants to be a big part of the club.
“As for Barry John (Swindells), what can I say? He bleeds gold and blue and I am over the moon he will be with us next year.”
Toms added: “I’m looking forward to building a career with Hemel and can’t wait to make a difference and show my full potential.”
He continued: “It’s great to be back with the side that introduced me to rugby league. I want to achieve big things with the club and I think we have the staff and players to do so.”
