Little Hay’s Emma is crowned queen of the course

Promising junior Emma Shepherd clinched the final Junior Medal competition of the summer holidays by shooting a gross 84, net 66.

With the same score but in second place on count-back was Craig Walker, who had won the previous week’s Stableford competition. Part of the reward for both players was a handicap cut to 16.1

Elsewhere, Michael Clark won Division One of the senior men’s Stableford with a score of 42 points. Mick Milne was second with 40 points and Roy Brown third with 37.

In Division Two, there was three-way tie on 38 points. After count-back the winner was Ralph Lane, while Trevor Sargeant was second and Dennis Warren got third place.
