Leaders thumped as Laxon shines

Berkhamsted first team travelled to Stevenage, and returned home with an excellent 3-0 victory.

It was a tight game for the most part, but Berko won it thanks to goals from N Edwards, Allan and Johnson.

Berkhamsted IIs are in great f0rm at the moment, and they enjoyed an extraordinary win against top-of-the-table Bedford.

They made a mockery of Bedford’s league position as they romped to a 9-1 win.

Laxon scored a hat-trick and Moorhouse twice, ,while there were singles for Edwards, Nonman, MacIndoe and Payton.

Berkhamsted men IVs were indebted to goalkeeper Mark Johnson as they squeezed out a 2-1 win over Shefford & Sandy.

It wasn’t such a good day for the Vs though as they stumbled to a 4-0 defeat to Potters Bar.

Berkhamsted Ladies section’s programme was hit hard by the weather, with the first team’s clash with Leighton Buzzard and IIs’ match against Royston postponed.

The IIIs did get a game on,m but were beaten 3-1. The IVs were without a game.
