The back-court will be led by popular point guard Bode Adeluola following his impressive campaign last year which saw him finish as the second leading individual scorer in the country.

Team captain Simon ‘Spud’ Kearney will again wear the Storm strip together with major contributors Walid Mumuni, Rodney Bryn-Hussey, Tom Adorian, Michael Darlow, and three-point specialist Matt Hanson.

Other new signings are currently being negotiated, including a replacement for centre Zak Wells who has joined Leeds – however the club intends to continue with its policy of signing an all-British squad.

Two youngsters from Storm’s successful U18 junior programme, Nick Allin and U17 England international Jack Burnell, are expected to make the step-up to the seniors on a regular basis.

The coaching team has been strengthened by the addition of the highly rated and internationally experienced coach Jozef Butor, who joins head coach Steve Darlow and associate head coach Jon Burnell to create arguably the strongest coaching team in EBL Division One.

Storm’s coaching director Dave Titmuss, who has worked with Butor in the past, said: “I’m thrilled to have Dodi with us, especially as I think he will complement Steve and Jon’s considerable strengths. It’s a brilliant coaching team.”

Storm will tip-off the new National League Division One season at home against newly-promoted Derby Trailblazers at Sportspace on Saturday, September 20.
