The Harriers finished the season in 10th team place in Division One, with both the men’s and ladies’ teams placed 10th individually. In the vets category, the GVH men’s team took fourth place and the ladies a respectable sixth place.
Not content with their cross country success, Claire McDonnell and Teresa Reason also took on the 20-mile challenge of the Bramley 20 on Sunday. McDonnell continued her fine form to set a new PB of 2:44:45, while team-mate Reason crossed the line in a respectable 2:54:55.
Taking a back seat because of the cross country, the parkruns still had eight runners from GVH at four events on Saturday.

There was one Harrier per race at the Black Park, Luton and Cassiobury parkruns, where Vince Ellerby completed in 19:49, James Thomson in 21:01 and Johnny Broom in 25:49.
There is no rest after their racing exertions, though, as the Harriers are preparing for the second of their Marathon Training Runs.
This time it’s the 17-mile route, taking place on Sunday, February 28. The route is open to all runners and is geared up to help people training for a spring marathon, regularly attracting 400-500 athletes from across the country.
