Joseph takes Division Two title on Herts Futures Tour

A former junior member of Berkhamsted Golf Club took the Division Two gross title at the Herts Futures Tour event played over the 9 hole course at The Shire London

Joseph Hardy’s score was an impressive 41, just 11 over par. Along with 22 of the 80 participants, his Futures Tour handicap will now be cut for the next event.

In Division One, Little Hay’s Harry Miller continued his hot streak as he finished nett runner-up to nett winner Sebastian Knowlman from West Herts Golf Club. Another West Herts junior, Jake Passingham, was nett runner-up in Division Two.

Isabella Brunskill, from Whipsnade Park Golf Club, was again honoured for a birdie 2, as were Matthew Stott and Redbourn’s George Smith.

The futures tour moves on to Chesfield Downs next, as the county’s young players continue to test their skills on the par 3 courses of Hertfordshire.

The Futures Tour is sponsored by Lexus Hatfield, for children aged 12 and under. It is part of Hertfordshire Golf’s playing and coaching junior pathway, with 90 youngsters regularly taking part
