Free coaching sessions ready to launch at Tring Squash Club

Tring Squash Club has received a grant to encourage more people lace up their trainers and give squash a go.

Tring is a members’ club with a total membership of 350 and has good squash and social facilities, including four well-maintained courts and a bar that is open every evening.

The club is offering a free six-week course to men and women over the age of 16 and the coaching will be provided by a professional coach.

The ladies’ sessions get under way on Saturday and will last for 60 minutes, starting at 10am.

The men’s course will begin on Saturday, February 21 and will also last for 60 minutes, starting at 10am.

These free courses are aimed primarily at non-members who do not necessarily have to join the club in order to take part. Beginners and inexperienced players are equally welcome to attend.

The club will provide playing equipment and numbers are limited to 16 players for each course.

A Tring Squash Club spokesman said: “This is a great free opportunity for beginners to try a new sport and for inexperienced players to improve their skills and fitness.”
