Dean Brennan’s side are currently 11th in the Vanarama Conference South table, but only four points shy of the play-off zone.

On Friday they take on a St Albans side that is just one place above them in the table.

Both teams are on 28 points, with Hemel also having a game in hand.

The Tudors go into the game in good heart after they secured a point from a 1-1 draw against high-flying Havant & Waterlooville at Vauxhall Road last weekend.

Nicke Kabamba headed Hemel in front just before the break, but Brennan’s men were pegged back by a Scott Donnelly equaliser midway through the second half.

St Albans have already lost five league matches on home soil this season, so Hemel will be confident of returning home with some kind of reward before the teams meet again at Vauxhall Road on New Year’s Day.

St Albans were beaten 1-0 at Bromley on Saturday.

Luton Town winger Kynan Isaac made his Hemel debut as a second-half substitute against Havant. Isaac has joined the Tudors on a month’s loan, having previously spent a loan spell at Oxford City.

Hemel supporters travelling to the Boxing Day clash at Clarence Park will be allocated the Hatfield Road end of the stadium. Fans need to use the turnstile nearest the railway at the west side of the ground.

Berkhamsted, who were beaten 1-0 at Dunstable on Saturday, aren’t back in action until Saturday (Dec 27) when they host bottom-of-the-table Holmer Green in the Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division.

Berko remain fourth despite Saturday’s defeat.
