Tudors cup clash with Watford postponed due to frozen pitch

The Hemel Hempstead Town squad should be fresh for Saturday’s FA Trophy clash with Torquay United after hearing that tonight’s scheduled Herts Senior Cup clash with Watford has been postponed again.

The Tudors had hoped that their third round tie would go ahead, but the Vauxhall Road pitch has failed an afternoon inspection following a heavy overnight frost.

It is the second time that the tie has been postponed, after last week’s attempt to play the game was thwarted by a waterlogged pitch.

The Tudors’ attention now turns to Saturday, when they will look to cause an FA Trophy upset against Conference Premier side Torquay.

Victory for Dean Brennan’s side would put them just two games away from a cup final at Wembley.
