Six-a-side teams are being encouraged to sign up to the brand new Herts6s Tuesday night league.

Set to kick off in mid-October, the league will be hosted at the recently opened 3G pitch at Westfield Academy in Watford.

Hert6s aims to offer teams the best small sided experience in Hertfordshire through ensuring that the organisation of the leagues is exceptional, the equipment is of the highest quality, and the players are protected through FA-registered referees.

Teams can also keep up to date on their fixtures, results and league position online through Herts6s FA Full Time website.

Organised by Hertfordshire FA, Herts6s recognises the important role that small-sided football plays in encouraging people to continue playing football and enjoying all aspects of the beautiful game.

First launched earlier this year at the 3G pitch at Wodson Park in Ware, Herts6s has proved a huge hit with local footballers in the east of the county.

Dues to the success of Herts6s in Ware, the league is now expanding to offer players in Watford and the surrounding areas an opportunity to play a high standard of small-sided football in a low cost league.

Herts6s aims to be innovative in developing small sided football, and each season the league hosts a managers meeting to gather views and feedback of all the teams involved in the league.

Unlike other small-sided football providers too, any profit made from Herts6s is put back into football development across the county.
